Sophie got bored of helping me take pictures of things to put on ebay and started snapping me instead ... she always takes really good pictures though !

Every time I grumble or even ask her nicely to do something, she ALWAYS comes back with :"Oh don't say that Mummy, I'm still sad because I miss Nanny and Grandad and Emily so otherwise you'll make me cry" !!!
She also had a big long discussion last night about who she was going to marry - first of all me ! Then she decided that wouldn't work because two girls can't get married ! So then she decided she'd marry Grandad instead ! I said "what about Nanny? He's already married" and she said that's OK, she'd wait until she was old and then marry Grandad and it didn't matter about Nanny !!!
Well, tomorrow I finally have to go back to work, so this last week off after coming home from England has been a big frenzy of last-minute fun and games ! I'll have to add some pictures later because the camera battery is charging but in the last few days, we've done :
- blow-pens (one of the birthday presents that I said Sophie couldn't use until we got back, but nowhere near as messy as expected ! )
- foil-designs on T-shirts ... came out quite well but I've just washed one in the machine so I'll wait and see what happens when they get wet !
- making apple-muffins (I cheated and used a ready-mix from the supermarket!), iced with silver/pink/blue/green balls and silver chocolate hearts (from my big box of goodies for the Tate & Lyle recipe competition) - Sophie thinks they're princess cakes and they taste nice too !
- going to the park in between the showers ... but the little slide is all fenced off and the bridge has disappeared (I bet someone set fire to it !) so Juliette's been testing out the big slide (from halfway up)
- riding around the carpark on the Barbie-bike ... until one of the stabilisers literally fell off ! Could have been really dangerous but luckily she heard a "ting" as the bolt fell out and stopped before it fell off (then cringed because she thought she'd get in trouble for breaking it ! )
And it was cheap listings day on ebay yesterday and the day before so I've got 25 things up for sale ... that should make some space in my ebay/freebie cupboard !
Ohhh and Sophie's just appeared beside me with bright red lips (I was a bit heavy-handed with the red food colouring in the apple muffin icing so it came out bloodred rather than fairy pink !!!) and her fairy costume on, complete with wings !!!
The "retour des noces", the day after the wedding when everyone gets together again for more food and drink, was also the day Sophie celebrated her birthday.
Meanwhile Juliette decided to use the bride as a cushion and catch up on some sleep ...
and the little one said "Mum, can you tell us a story ?!"
Juliette has now figured out how to climb down the patio stairs. You go to the middle of the step, sit down, wriggle across to the top of the step until your feet hit the floor, stand up, take one step forward and repeat as necessary !
Going up is either a crawling effort or she grabs hold of the nearest pair of hands and launches into space giggling to herself !
And here she is just out of bed (smiling already !) ...
And at the dinner table (where she's already learnt to say thankyou) ...
Anne-Laure and Ludo tied the knot on 5th August, which just happened to be our 6th wedding anniversary too. All the little girls present got to wear the same "princess dress", which seemed to go down well with them all !
